Turtle Soup
A few weeks ago Alden and I got the shock of our lives..... my brother and his wife showed up at my door step unannounced. Wow. It was unbelievable! We were able to do some fun things together while they were here camping in my back yard..... like eat turtle soup! Ok, we didn't eat turtle soup but my roommate took us to a beach where turtles come right up on the sand. They are so majestic looking. And believe it or not they live to be over 100 years old, CRAZY!

Hike to Maunawili
Sadly enough Alden and I don't get a lot of time to play between school, work, and planning a wedding. Saturday we decided that we needed to get out and enjoy what Hawaii has to offer. We went on a beautiful hike through the rainforest that leads to a waterfall where you can jump off into a pool. It was a blast even though it took some coaxing for me to jump the whole ten foot jump I did (I'm such a baby!). Watch the video for proof, Alden was trying to film without me noticing so I wouldn't feel more pressure... ahhh sweet. Then there is Alden... he jumped crazy high... sorry the video is sideways. See the picture for the difference between our jumps. We had such a fun day together. Hawaii is a beautiful place and its so much better when you have someone you love to enjoy it with.

Being Healthy
Once upon a time we lived across the street from a grocery store. Produce was priced outrageously high and I became increasingly discouraged at our lack of "nutrients". We did not have a Costco card nor a car, but we needed to be HEALTHY!!!
Finally, the day came, we bought a car! And of course our first big trip was to Costco (I was whining almost daily now how I wanted REAL food). I filled the shopping cart with tons of produce......... the one bad thing about Costco is everything is in bulk, WAY too much for two people. But I didn't care. I made Alden buy us a LARGE container of mixed greens. Don't even worry about the fact that I don't really like salad. Well needless to say we threw that container away today, almost completely full. The dang thing went bad (am I secretly happy? I cannot say). I ate salad once and then made up excuses EVERYDAY as to why I couldn't eat the salad. Alden lets me win, even when he knows that I am being ridiculous.
I still don't like salad.
But I love Alden even more.
The End.

I want to hang this, because I can and because I like it.
Great news. Alden and I got into TVA. No, that isn't some prestigious school or program, its a married housing unit at BYUH. yep. But the cool thing is its about $200-$300 cheaper then all our other options of housing. YAY. Last we heard we were 86 on the list, then bam yesterday we got an email saying we got in. I told Alden that God loves us. SO, I would love this map in my soon to be home. I love maps and I love homes.
