Day 13

Took a Sunday drive with my 13 year old little brother. It was a little late in the evening but we had fun anyway and I enjoyed teaching him the things I have learned about taking night/evening shots. This is my photo. Also... I know I need to change the color settings because the photos don't show up as well online but I forgot how... sorry!

Day 12

I saw this spot about a week ago and I thought it was really interesting, a light up sign for a funeral home. The only time I have had time lately to take pictures is at night so this is what ya get.

Day 9

Coming soon! I have a shot that I eyed but was not able to get because every time I went to get it there was a class in the room... so wait for it, it will be worth it. I hope :)

Day 8

So I kinda skipped day 7... hope that is ok. Day 8: I was very sick today so today's photo is of my fuzzy blanket that I curled up with most of the day. This is a tight macro, I forgot how narrow the depth of field can be on my point and shoot.

Day 6

It's the stars! Its a nebula! ... No... it's Christmas lights. Saw this house on the side of the road on my way home from Idaho Falls. I just planted my tripod in the driveway. whoops! I love using the things I have learned in this class so far. I was awful at the abstract assignment and now I am having a lot of fun using shutter speed and things to capture more creative and "far out" pictures.

Day 5

So this may not be the best picture but I just had to post it because the situation was so funny. I was taking pictures of my brothers this morning for one of the projects and they went to feed the horses and what did they find in the grain? ...This little mouse. They were screaming like girls and I just stood back, laughed, and captured the moment.

Day 4

All about cupcakes: So I work at the Cocoa Bean in Rexburg. It is a cupcake cafe and I adore it. I worked tonight and tried to sneak a quick picture. This is my favorite cupcake, Coconut Lime.

Day 3

I was working on the time assignment, which I have found to be a bit challenging. It involves both time and patience, which are two things I rarely have these days. This is what happens when you are doing a 15 second exposure and the tripod slips. I thought it still had a neat feeling to it though... then again it is almost one in the morning.... I might be trippin.

Day 2

Originally I was going to post a picture of my rain boots and say something about the weather and how I like to wear my boots for more than just a fashion statement, but as I began taking pictures my little brother plopped down into the picture and started snapping his fingers and my other brother opened the door to take out the trash. This seemed to be a lot more fitting as for a typical day in my life with four brothers.

Day 1

Another Manic Monday: Monday's have quickly turned into my least favorite day of the week this semester. I left the house at 7:45 this morning and didn't come back till 3:15 am! That is what graphic design will do to you. So this is a shot of me late at night trying to get everything done.

Photo Journal

Today I will begin a photo journal project that will last over the next two weeks. The assignment is to take a picture everyday that perhaps will tell a little bit more about me or clue into my life. So that being said, may all my secrets be revealed and may I get some good photos as well!
