I've decided to bring back the wear there posts! For those of you who are new around here... Wear There posts are when I pick a place I'd like to visit and then create an outfit of what I'd wear there! Check out the bottom of the post to see some of the past wear there's.

I have a neighbor, Julie, that I grew up with in Idaho, who also ended up being my neighbor in Hawaii for a short time who is in Morocco right now. Her and her husband joined the Peace Corps and will be in Morocco for over 2 years. It's been fun to read about their journey and see what life is like in another country. (Click here to read her blog about their time in Morocco!) Their adventures inspired this post... and while Morocco isn't at the top of my list I do think it would be a neat place to visit (maybe take a boat ride there from Spain?) I asked Julie how to dress in Morocco and what to expect if you visit. Here is what she said,

"There are certainly spoken and unspoken rules of modesty here in Morocco, which vary region by region. However, a good general rule to follow is cover your elbows, cover your bottom, and avoid showing your figure. This makes you and everyone around you more comfortable.
Morocco is nicknamed "the cold land with the hot sun," and nothing could be more accurate. In the winter, the weather is bone chilling. Without central heating in most buildings and houses, thermals, winter coats, and gloves can be worn at all times. In the summer, temperatures sky rocket above 100 degrees in many areas. This is when being modest is challenged."

I am quarter Italian so I've dreamed about going to Italy ever since I was little and while I won't be going anytime soon my friend is! So this post is for her. She had concerns about what to wear since it will be so hot. My new go to look for the summer are dresses! What a better way to keep the air circulating?  Right?

So here are some looks I've put together and good news! They are more realistic and affordable, in fact there is nothing over $33.00!

wearthere-01

I started the wear//there series while Alden and I were trying to decide where to go on our trip. Well we've made our decision and even bought our tickets!!! (Click here to see where we are going). But now the question is, should I continue with the wear//there series??? I've put a little poll up on the side where you can go vote. If you DO want it to stick around then leave me a comment and let me know what places you would like to see me do wear//there posts for. The skies the limit! I could maybe even do a post for what to wear to the moon... MAYBE. Don't hold me to that :). The poll closes next Wednesday so vote now!

daytrip2 daytrip This weekend we are celebrating our second anniversary by heading out on a weekend getaway day trip. When it comes to making decisions Alden and I are the worst, quickly followed by keeping secrets/surprises from each other. To solve this problem, we are going to throw all our options into a hat and pull one out on Saturday morning and head off for the day! (If you can't wait till Monday to see where we are headed off to for the weekend then be sure and follow my instagram! @ashleyaikele)

On the flip side we think we have decided where we are going for our big trip at the end of the year! Yay us! Hopefully we will be buying our tickets tonight (hence our last minute plan to change this weekend from a getaway to a day trip, gotta save those pennies!). Can't wait to tell you where we are going.

san fran-02 san fran-01 chambray top (bought mine at F21) | shoes | bag (bought mine at jcpenney of all places!) | pants (bought mine from F21) | necklace | t-shirt | picture by my sister Branae

A few weeks ago my mom and sister came for a visit. Of course we HAD to go shopping (because that's what girls do best) so I thought it would be fun to feature some of the clothes that I picked up.

San Francisco is SO chuck full of things to do. I love taking weekend adventures to the city because we can always do something different. I think it will take a lifetime before we have done it all.
Some of my favorite things to do in San Francisco...

• Rent electric bikes and ride along the bay to the bridge (or even across the bridge if you are feeling up to it).

• Go to the Ferry Building and enjoy the fresh food from the market, live music, and beautiful views. Click here to see some pictures from when Alden and I went.

• Go to Hayes Valley and walk through the fun boutiques. Stop at Miette and get a treat and go to Absinthe for some French onion soup.

• Visit the Mission District. They have awesome vintage shops there and a really cool taxidermy place called Paxton Gate (with a unicorn!). We also had the most DELICIOUS breakfast at Luna Park and yummy Mexican food for lunch.

• Ride the trolley's. The very first date Alden and I had in the city we rode the trolley's to and from dinner at Frascati. I will never forget seeing the city light up that way. Magical!

france-01 Paris isn't a real contender for our trip but I'm dying to go there. It's at the top of my list and watching Jordan from Oh Happy Day spend the last year there may have just secured it as numero uno.

My brother and his wife Chelse are off to New Zealand next month so I asked Chelse to send me some of her dream pieces to wear there. Don't you love the look she put together? It is totally her and totally New Zealand. If it weren't for the long flight I might try and sneak in their luggage. Have fun you two! Can't wait to hear all about it.

The first time I decided I could marry Alden is when he said he wanted to go to Greece on his honeymoon (we were only dating then). The thought of being whisked away to starch white cliff homes surrounded by blue waters was very appealing to me and if marriage was the way to get there then I was IN! So we got married and honeymooned in Hawaii but we still dream about going to Greece. Sadly with all the unrest going on in that area we've decided now is not the time. But someday we will make it there. A second honeymoon perhaps?

*Just to clarify, I did not marry Alden just at the possibility of going to Greece, although it did draw me in.

Check out my other wear//there posts and help Alden and I decide where to vacation this year!

Well for the past week we have been doing research like crazy on going to Switzerland. Our trip that we are going to take will most likely be in the winter which means if we decide to go to Switzerland we will be skiing in the Alp's and getting cozy next to a nice big fire.

Lets be honest. One look at that picture above and you want to go to Ireland too, right? Rolling green hills, castles, cliffs, and apparently wild roaming horses. Whats not to love? Seriously though, its at the top of our list (mostly because we keep finding good travel deals to Ireland).

Anyone out there been to Ireland? Is it worth the shot?

Also! I am contributing on Say Yes to Hoboken today. Don't forget to check out my post on anoraks here.

Alden and I have had a serious case of wanderlust ever since we left Hawaii. We want to do a big trip together before we really have to settle down and grow up. We've talked about going everywhere from Africa to Thailand, Ireland to Australia. Until we make a decision and buy a ticket I figured I would do a new weekly series here on the blog called Wear//There. I will pick a place we'd like to go and what I'd wear there.

To start things off I chose Thailand for a couple of reasons. First, its spring break and those beaches in Phuket are calling my name. Second, Thailand has been on our list for a LONG time. We would love to go to eat authentic food, play on their gorgeous beaches, visit ancient temples and MOSTLY play with baby elephants.

Have you been to Thailand? What do you recommend?
